The original owners loved their coach so much that they bought an extra engine to have on hand. Their son, the man we bought it from, was a mechanic for the Coca-Cola truck fleet and the plan was if anything serious ever happened to the engine, the owner would call in his son and together they'd put in the new one. It was simply backup. Never needed. It was in the son's workshop in its crate, and had been for many years. We bought it along with the coach, but it has remained crated. The original engine is running strong.
